Happy Planner Reveal Week – Day Three

Happy Planner Reveal Week – Day Three

Today’s reveal week showed us planners that will be released at Staples. Rumor has it that there’s more to this video, but nothing has been confirmed.

To be honest, the selection at Staples is very disappointing. While I’m very happy that Michaels appears to be getting most of the beautiful new releases, I would have loved to have seen a better selection at Staples as well. These planners will be released around September 26th.

Before I get into the planners, I need to explain why the Staples selection is disappointing – most of us have previously seen these planners. This was something that was noted upon the announcement that Staples would be a retailer, but made sense at the time. The contract with Staples has been continued, so why are we returning to previous planners? New covers are abound, but you might recognize a lot of familiar pages.

I’ll admit that I didn’t have much to say with these planners, but I’ll let you be the judge!

First up in the reveal video was the undated mini Fitness planner. This planner has been out previously and there are flip through videos of it on YouTube. It’s not clear whether the insides have changed, but it’s a similar cover.

This planner appears to be named Hello Love. It’s very similar to the designs they already had available at Staples, but in mini form. It’s definitely cute and there’s a lot of rainbow colors throughout.

Mint To Be looks like it’s another throwback to other designs. It features marble and lots of pretty color. While I don’t see “mint” in the color scheme other than the tabs, it’s still a cute planner. It would be a great gift for a bride-to-be with the color scheme.

Happy Everything is an updated version of the Super Fun planner that debuted for this years 12-month planners (January to December of this year), but it’s cute! I love the cover on this planner – polka dots are the best! It also includes all of the crazy little holidays that you wouldn’t expect.

Rosey is another familiar planner, but still beautiful. This planner looks to be a 12-month version of the Modern Romance planner that was sold at Hobby Lobby. I’m glad that this one was brought back because this was one of my favorites that was debuted! Very feminine and very romantic.

Jazzy Blues is fascinating to me. This is the This Is Your Year planner that debuted late last fall and was the first neutral tone planner that was offered in the line-up. This planner is the “Glow Up” version of that planner and features dark navy blues and rose gold foil throughout. This is a great option for someone who loved the planner from last year, but want to have something a little different.

Silver Linings follows the trend of updated planners. Compared to Jazzy Blues and the This Is Your Year planner from last year, this one features a lot of similar features. If you’re looking for a true neutral with a pop of color, this looks like it’ll be your best bet. The mint tabs are a nice touch to this planner.

Master Plan is another planner that looked familiar to me, but I haven’t been able to pinpoint why. The watercolor features are a really nice touch to this planner and I look forward to seeing it in person.

Bright Geos is one of my favorites out of the Staples releases. This big Happy Planner provides ample room for your plans while offering very pleasing designs. The pastel triangles on the cover add just enough pop that you’ll be catching everyone’s eye with this planner – for all the right reasons!

Fearless is another pretty option if you’re looking for a big Happy Planner. Again, it’s another one that looks very familiar, but can’t figure out why.

Twenty-Fleur-Seven has to be my favorite planner out of all of the Staples planners. While it’s a big planner, I believe that it offers the most in terms of having something “different.” The cover is very plain and opens up to bright florals and watercolors. The side bar is very helpful and should help lead to a very productive life.

The cover of this planner is gorgeous and I loved the insides of this planner already. I have a feeling this will be a top choice for anyone looking for a big planner.

Overall, I’m mixed about my feelings with the Staples release. On one hand, I’m very happy that I won’t have to go chasing down exclusive designs, but I almost wish there was at least a few different options. I will say that the bases are covered at Staples, with the exception of a horizontal design.

Are you planning on picking up any of the designs at Staples? Let me know in the comments!

Probably the reason Fearless looks familiar is that the monthly dashboards are recycled from last year’s mini 6 month extension pack.

Yes! Thank you! I could NOT figure out why it looked familiar and while searching I really couldn’t figure it out! I like to think I’m pretty well-versed in Happy Planner products, but I’m pretty clueless on the mini. I never would’ve guessed the expansion pack – thank you again!
